4 Purpose of and basis for processing personal data

The purpose of the processing is Tampere Deck and Arena Management Oy’s recruitment activities. Processing personal data is based on Tampere Deck and Arena Management Oy’s legitimate interest, such as handling job applications and the recruitment process and, in terms of personal and aptitude testing, on the consent of the applicant.

5 Period for which the personal data will be stored

Open applications submitted by applicants will be retained for six months from the date of submission, and applications submitted for a specific job will be retained for one year from the date of the recruitment decision. Personal data on applications from applicants who are successful in the recruitment process will be retained for the duration of their employment.

6 Data content of the data file and data subject groups

The register contains the following personal details about the applicants that are necessary for the recruitment process and the job:

  • name, contact details (phone number, email, address);
  • information related to the job application and CV, such as work experience, education,
  • skills, positions of trust;
  • information related to the interview and tests;
  • any other information provided by the applicants.

7 Data sources

The primary source of the data stored in the register is the applicant. Details are also saved during the recruitment process. Other sources of information are used within the limits set by the law.

8 Disclosures and transfers of data and data transfer outside the EU or the EEA

In principle, personal data are not disclosed or transferred outside the EU or the EEA. Tampere Deck and Arena Management Oy processes the applicants’ personal data to the extent necessary for selecting an employee. Tampere Deck and Arena Management Oy uses a third-party service provider in its recruitment and testing activities which processes the applicant’s personal data only to the extent necessary to complete the task in question.

9 Principles of protecting the data file

Manual material is stored in locked storage areas. Tampere Deck and Arena Management Oy’s premises have an access control system. Data stored in electronic format are stored in information systems, which use both technical and programmatic means to ensure data security and to monitor data use. Access to data in the data file is limited to designated persons to the extent required by their duties. All persons using data in the data file are bound by an obligation of secrecy.

10 Rights of data subjects

Data subjects have the right to check the data stored in the data file concerning themselves and the right to request rectification and deletion of incorrect data. Requests to this effect must be made in writing to the address mentioned in Section 2. Data subjects have the right at any time to withdraw their consent regarding personal and aptitude testing. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, data subjects have the right (from 25 May 2018) to object to or to request the restriction of the processing or transferring of their data and to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman about the processing of their personal data.
